SUPPORT SERVICES

At Visual Communication Consultants (VCC), we provide personalised, person-centred supports that empower people with disability to build independence, confidence and meaningful connections within their community. Whether you need support with everyday tasks, personal care, developing life skills, finding and keeping a job, participating in social group activities at the VCC Hub, or accessing short-term respite at our Broome accommodation, our experienced team is here to help.

Every support is tailored to your individual goals, helping you live the life you choose while developing the skills and confidence to thrive at home, at work and in the community.

We also provide support for the following:

SOCIAL & COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION

We provide support to get out and about in the community and help with social activities. e.g. visits to the local park, movies, fishing, local footy games, art classes, music groups, community gardens, the local pool and visits to a café with friends or the library.

GROUP ACTIVITIES

Support with social activities in a group setting at our activity centre (the VCC Hub).

DAILY TASKS

For example, keeping a tidy home, washing clothes, yard clean up, cooking and mealtime help.

PERSONAL CARE

Support with daily self-care tasks. e.g. showering, brushing teeth, dressing, toileting, eating and drinking, taking medication, attending appointments, clinic check-ups and use of hearing & communication aids help at home or in the community.

LIFE SKILLS DEVELOPMENT

Support to develop everyday skills, for example cooking, cleaning, using money, going food shopping, gardening, catching a bus, catching a fish and sewing.

KEEPING A JOB

Support to help learn new skills and get ready for work. We connect with different businesses in the community for work experience & job opportunities. We help prepare for work activities and support in the workplace.

RESPITE

A short break staying at our VCC Hub in Broome, up to 28 days a year. (short-term accommodation)
